After a year on tour, European audiences have finally chosen the winning short film! Tondex 2000, by Jean-Baptiste Leonetti – voted at national level by the Clermont-Ferrand International short Film Festival audience – is now the big winner of ESFAA, the European Short Film Audience Award.
Tondex 2000, by Jean-Baptiste Leonetti, is the big winner of the European Short Film Audience Award. After a year on tour, the European audiences have finally chosen the winner. The final award of 3.500€ was announced at Brussels Short Film Festival, on April 27th. After winning the favor of their national audience, it was the chosen one from the 9 films on tour (Lviv International Short Film Festival Wiz Art, in Ukraine, could not take place due to the war impacting the country). Tondex 2000 (France, 2023, Fiction, 28′) tells the story of Sylvain, an Afghan veteran living off of petty crime, that crosses paths with Nathalie, an upper-class CEO struggling to keep her lawnmower company afloat.
