Since 2019, s group of leading European festivals have been organising the European Short Film Audience Award (ESFAA): a selection of the best European short films of the past year, rewarded with a national audience award. After capturing the support of their national audiences, 8 short films are now competing to grab the attention of 511 million Europeans, who are invited to vote for their favourite short film.
The principle is simple: 8 short films, 9 festivals, 9 audiences to charm, 10 votes, one winner chosen as the European Short Film Audience Award after a one-year tour.
Follow the journey of the participating short films! Verdict of this 2025/2026 tour during the 29th Brussels Short Film Festival next May!
